How to make a paint brush
Here is a step by step video showing how to make a home made paint brush. If you enjoy painting (art painting, that is), then you may appreciate making your own brushes to suit your artistic needs. I used horse hair for the brush fibers, and a stick from my backyard for the handle. The horse hair came from my sister’s horses. You can make any type of brush you want using this technique. By the way, I just made up this technique, so don’t think I am an expert. I am creating these brushes as Christmas presents for an art kit that I am making for my sister’s kids.
It only takes about ten minutes to make a brush, so get started. By the way, if you don’t know of any horses that needed a trimming, you can use dog hair, cat hair, or human hair for the brush fiber. You could probably go to your local pet store and ask for hair from some of the animals.
