dust your wall(old paint brush) (blue tape is expensive and i can mask perfects around it with intertape.)
mask, dont mash the tape…run and even pressure along the line) now, spread your paint an inch or so above your tape, when spread and you brush is getting drier then sread your paint near the line.

    okay, dont mask to …
okay, dont mask to cut in, masking for a line is for mill. load your brush and cut away from your line spread your paint before you even go for the line, then when you brush is a bit drier go for your line, lay off when your done cutting you section so you have even coverage.(even if you plan on 2 -3 coat)
always cut in first and bring roller close but not to close to corners. use a pole and grip it as to limit its reach just below the ceiling.

would have been a 5, but your mic needs better pick up. :)

As a home DIYer, my paint lines have consistently sucked. I did not realize that the paint was seeping through the tape.

The question is, how do I fix lines that I’ve already screwed up?

As to the professionals cutting in free-hand comment…that’s great, if you are a professional or can/want to pay for a professional.

Superb vid my friend. Great to hear of a genuinely useful tip. You read so many articles claiming to give “insider knowledge” on trades. I watched a DIY show the other day and their top tip for cleaning emulsion off brushes? Wash it in water…. NO SH!T SHERLOCK.
    Keep up the good work.

    I dont paint …
I dont paint professionally and hand line cutting with a good brush is all I ever do and ever have done. Guess it’s all in who teaches you and how they teach you. I have had tape go hard on me from not being used so I quit buying it unless I have to spray ceiling texture or something else messy where I need to hold plastic up.
